Tomorrow may be my 21st birthday but today is also special. Today marks the third anniversary of Life in Style! I've successfully been posting photos for three years and that's a huge accomplishment for me. It doesn't matter that I had inconsistent periods where I didn't post for months, what matters is that I kept trying. My wardrobe has changed a lot over the past couple of years but so has my hair and even my makeup abilities. My favorite part about blogging is watching the transformation of not only my physical appearance but my self-confidence too. Life in Style has become the other half of me, and I'm so happy I haven't given up on it! Oh hello there. So I was going to start off by saying that music festival season has finished up but I really have no idea if that's true at all. I'm making assumptions since Coachella has come and gone, and that seems to really be the most popular one, or least on the west coast it is. Again, I could be totally wrong about everything. Summer concerts though have definitely not ended though, and so maybe festival season hasn't either! Even though I'm from Chicago which has the increasingly popular Lollapalooza, I've never been and wouldn't think to categorize that in the same boat as Coachella. Anyway, Lollapalooza isn't until late July, so clearly the summer music fun is still going strong. Funny story actually: when I was younger, my family and I were downtown in the city being tourists  (what else) and we were walking by Grant Park during the festival when we saw some protesters ...

Now this is what summer should be. Rooftop pools and pale stomachs. Ok, maybe not the pale stomach part but hey, I haven't spent this much time in the sun in like ever. Since the start of summer, a mere one week ago, I've woken up in a such a good mood! The stress of school is over, and three months of self-loving has officially begun. This is my first summer staying in Arizona and I'm excited to hang out with friends, soak up the sun, and do a little exploring in this cool little city. A lot of students cannot wait to rush back home once finals all over but Tucson is becoming my home and I want to see what its summers have to offer.  Summer has got me in the mood for bright colors!
