This has to be one of my favorite color combinations to wear which I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before on here...Anyway, I've actually been wanting to highlight this cool shirt I bought over Christmas break. It's from Banana Republic and the moment I saw it hung up, I knew I had to have it. I love the mesh texture overlay and how it's see through on the sleeve. It makes the shirt just that much more stylish then a plain black tee. Clearly, it can be worn very causal and I've worn it with Converse before which also looks super cute. The greenery photos above are up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The overcast sky didn't look to nice but it really brought out the bright green in the trees and grass there. So strange how we've had so much rain over here while California is still suffering! If only we could ship our rain water to them... Anyway, it feels so nice to have photos of clothes again! Crossing my fingers...
It's that time of year again where we all get decked out in red, white, and blue to enjoy the celebration of our 239th year of Independence! Did you know we are one of the youngest countries out there? Almost every other country as at least a good 800 years on us. It's mind-blowing because we seem so powerful today. This is one of my favorite sweatshirts, and I thought it would be appropriate for this special holiday. What's a better quote then Honest Abe saying he will be president, and then actually becoming president? Nothing. I was drawn to it not by the bluntness of the statement but because I sometimes find myself saying I'm gong to be President one day too. But it's just a statement, and unfortunately it brings a lot of eye rolls and laughs. I'm just saying if you the complainer aren't going to try to fix something, why can't I? Either way, I think the U.S. is pretty great and I bet most of you do too. Bec...
My next summer adventure took me to Amelia Island, Florida. A cute little town way up in the northeast corner of the state, just a swim away from Georgia. Almost every day consisted of going to the beach and getting some sun. It was a rather easy task considering the vacation house looked out right over the Atlantic ocean, making the walk to the beach about one minute. One can only be a beach bum for so long before realizing it's probably time to venture out away from the beach. That led to other activities that included scooter/moped rental, a visit to Fort Clinch State Park, and a boat tour of the inlet river. The boat tour was my personal favorite because we got to see wild horses, a 3 foot alligator, and dolphins! Seeing an alligator kind of just completed the Florida trip, in my mind. The last day out we finally were able to catch a sunset that wasn't covered by a huge cloud. It was gorgeous and a great farewell to our week...
