Forms of Art

Art is pretty neat but street art is even neater. Mainly because of how surprising street is since you never really know when you're going to stumble across it. Then there's the use of bold colors and line to make you stare harder at the artwork followed by their usual larger than average size. It's one astonishing package that could be right around the corner from you. Like this piece above that I just happened to find driving through town one day. It stops everyone! Right before these photos were taken, a women pulled over in her car to snap a photo of this larger than life mural.

The colors in this piece are so bright and vivid that I wanted to experiment with brighter makeup for the canvas that is my face. Starting with my bold lip color in Shocking Coral from the Maybelline Vivids Collections (buy here). The colors in this collection are gorgeous, however they aren't the smoothest lip product out there and I find it hard to smile cause my lips get dry when I wear this. For my eyes, I'm wearing my favorite purple eyeshadow - Urban Decay's Flash (buy here). Purple is a great color for those of you who have green eyes or brown eyes like me! It's also a fun way to shake up your makeup routine from the basic neutral colors. You can't tell but I did throw on a little eyeliner, also in purple, to help define the outer edges of my eye. It's the Smashbox Always Sharp waterproof kohl liner in Royal (buy here). Blush are bronzer are the same as always with more emphasis on contouring techniques. I'll get it down one day.

Happy June! Only 21 days till my birthday .. woohoo! LOL. No really, it's going to be a good month, as long as I can survive this 100 degree weather :)
Have a great one!
