Summer Adventures: Sleeping Bear Dunes
This past weekend I got the chance to tag-a-long on a road trip up to Glen Arbor, Michigan. My cousin is working at a little shop there called the Cotton Seed over the summer so her mom, sister, and I went up to visit! She's staying at their grandparent's cottage at Sleeping Bear Dunes national lakeshore, right on Lake Michigan! It was so beautiful. Listening to the soft waves hit the little beach right in their backyard was very relaxing and made it easy to nap to. They've built a really smooth bike path that takes you straight into the little downtown area. So on Saturday my other cousin and I biked into town and did a little shopping around all the little stores. One of the popular places to visit is the Cherry Republic where they sell a wide variety of cherry jams, chocolates, salsas, etc. It's pretty cute, and it's been around for a pretty long time!
